maktub

Maktub, past participle of the verb Kitab. It is a characteristic expression of fatalism Muslim. Maktub means "it was written," or better "it was meant to be". This expressive word spoken in times of pain or distress, not a cry of revolt against fate, but a reaffirmation of the spirit fully resigned in front of designs of life.

Hi there I am Mike and I’m messaging you to say thank you for reblogging my photo of the Hobbit/Stargate rock feature at Elvaston Castle the other day I take all my own pics so I am always pleased if people use them. I take photos on a whole range of subjects mainly in the UK and some abroad. I would be honoured if you could take a moment to browse my archive to see the pics, there are so many subjects too many to list. All the best now Mike
